Medical disclaimer.
Back Path is a digital rehabilitation program. It does not replace emergency care, in-person examination, imaging, or individualized medical advice. Nothing on this website is a diagnosis.
Marketing on this site is aimed primarily at people with persistent or recurrent back pain. That is not the same as every back-pain presentation. Radicular pain, postoperative recovery, inflammatory disease, fracture, infection, malignancy, and other specific pathology need appropriate clinical assessment. Exercise is not appropriate for every person or every symptom.
Pain intensity does not always correspond directly to tissue damage, and a flare-up does not necessarily mean new injury. Those statements are educational, referenced on the research page. They are not a promise that pain is harmless, that a flare-up can never represent injury, or that everyone should exercise through symptoms.
Seek prompt medical evaluation for red-flag symptoms, including unexplained weight loss, fever, recent significant trauma, progressive weakness, saddle anesthesia, or changes in bowel or bladder function. Some classic red-flag questions have limited accuracy on their own; concerning clusters of symptoms still require a clinician, not an app.
If you have a complex medical history, recent surgery, inflammatory disease, cancer history, or unexplained neurological symptoms, ask a qualified clinician whether a digital program is appropriate before starting.
Back Path has not been tested in a randomized trial of this product. Citations describe the broader evidence base that informs educational language on the site.
